Cast Iron Chicken Thighs
...an elevated and simple way to cook your main source of protein for your healthy meals
The Cast Iron Pan creates a special flavor within the meat, retaining its tenderness and moisture.
Ingredients:
One package of 6-8 boneless/skinless chicken thighs
2-3 tbsp sea salt
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp coconut oil
¼ cup dried or fresh thyme
Preparation:

Heat 1 tbsp coconut oil on med/high heat in the cast iron pan and set the oven at 350 degrees.
Rub each piece of meat with the seasoning blend.
Sprinkle chicken thighs with thyme, make sure stems are removed if you’re using fresh thyme.
Place chicken thighs in the hot pan and brown the meat for 10 minutes.
Once the meat is nicely browned, use an oven mitt and carefully put the cast iron pan directly into the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Be careful, as the cast iron pan becomes extremely hot.
Let cool and serve with vegetables or a salad and a healthy complex carbohydrate like sweet potato.
