Air Fryer Chicken

Slow Cooked or Oven Roasted Whole Chicken

Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Thighs


  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Prepare the Chicken Thighs / Legs & Backs:

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create a seasoning mixture.

Season the Chicken:

Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each chicken thigh, making sure to get the seasoning under the skin as well for extra flavor.

Preheat the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.

Air Fry the Chicken:

Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down.

Cook the chicken at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.

Flip and Continue Cooking:

After 20 minutes, flip the chicken thighs skin side up.

Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and browned.


Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.


Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside your preferred side dishes.
